Mr Lim Hong Kai has a total 37 years experiences as an employee and businessman, with Masters Degree (MBA) from the University of Dubuque, Iowa, USA, Professional Qualifications in Industrial Management (Dip.IM), Marketing (Adv..Dip.M) and Electrical Engineering (FTC.EE).

He had worked for various Japanese, American MNCs (Multi-National Corporations) and local SME including NMB, McDonald’s, Seagate, Maxtor & Sony International, from the period of 1980 to 1998, in various positions starting as a Technician / Engineer, Production & Production Control Manager, Restaurant Management, Program / Project Management, Business Development / Marketing, a working career span of 18 years, and managing his own company for the last 19 years in Database Mining & Marketing, PDPA Compliance, Consultancy, Trainer & investor in Cryptocurrency.

During his term from 1993 to 1997, with Sony International as Head of Sales & Marketing Dept, with an annual turnover of over US$450M, he was responsible for the entire Asia Pacific region, South Africa & Middle East managing OEM accounts such as IBM, Apple and the distribution channels. This includes a stint in Hong Kong as an Expat there to develop the China, Middle East & South Africa markets.

He conducted many Database marketing seminars and workshops, on and off, during the period year 2000 up to 2013, specializing in DIY or Do It Yourself marketing programs to assist SME to do their own marketing before the entrance of social & online marketing platforms today.

During this period, he was featured on Straits Times as Cover Story on 15 March 2005 on his opinions on Email Marketing and Spamming as regards to the Anti-Spam Control Bill 2004 then.

He also conducted many active seminars and workshops in PDPA, Personal Data Protection, during the period 2013 to 2016 being the pioneer when PDPA was still a mystery to many corporations and business.

During this period, he was invited and contributed an article to the Law Gazette, a publication of The Law Society of Singapore, June 2014 edition, regarding how an organization can prepare to compile with PDPA or Personal Data Compliance Act.

He currently focuses his energy on the emerging cryptocurrency and blockchain technology as he believes this is the future innovation that will change the way the world does business as well offers the next phase of job opportunities in this new industry.

He also enjoys as a relaxing hobby, for more than twelve years now, on Photography & Videography and keen interests in emerging IT, AI or Digitally related innovations that can served as useful application solutions to increase productivity and progress for mankind, besides giving talks, seminars or conducting training workshops and learning interactions in class.
